Forced romance, meaningless love,
Cards, choc'late, flowers.
Any other day,
Gifts would be great from my love,
Now? Empty gesture.

I'm a fan of the haiku. I should try that form sometimes. I don't like to write lengthy poems. I focus on just the right word to convey an image or emotion. Keep writing those great haikus. Maybe you'll get a movement going among us poet bloggers : )
